Breast Reduction Vancouver Washington

Breast reduction in Vancouver Washington and Portland Oregon. Information on the surgical procedure, scars, recovery period, insurance, and more.

Breast reduction surgery is done to decrease the size of the breasts. Larger breasts can be associated with shoulder and back pain. Additionally, people with large, heavy breast may not be able to participate in physical or athletic activities. Breast reduction surgery is mostly done under general anesthetic as an outpatient, although a small reduction could be done under twilight sleep. In addition to reducing the size of the breasts, the breasts are also lifted up and molded into a youthful contour. Obviously, there are scars over the breasts that go around the nipple and underneath the breast. Usually, they do fade over time.

We will bill your insurance for you when we are provided with the appropriate information. We will need to obtain prior authorization from your insurance company if it is determined that breast reduction surgery is a covered benefit. We are happy to assist you in receiving the maximum benefits from your insurance company, but keep in mind that insurance coverage does not guarantee 100% payment of surgical fees; in fact, insurance companies seldom pay medical costs in full.

In any case, for breast reduction surgery, pre-payment of the surgical fee is required. You will in turn be refunded the amount that the insurance pays.
